ABOUT US

The West Dover Fire Department was established in 1963 and continues to serve the residents, visitors, and businesses of West Dover today.  The department is currently made up of two groups:

  1. Firefighting which responds to emergency calls for fires, gasses such as carbon monoxide, motor vehicle accidents and more.
  2. Search & Rescue which responds to emergency calls for persons lost or injured in remote recreation areas.

JOIN THE DEPARTMENT

We are always looking for new members for both firefighting and Search & Rescue and everyone is welcome!  Regardless of your training, background, or comfort level we can find a position where you can help your community.

The Officers meet the second and fourth Monday of each month at 5pm.  Please stop by at these times if you have questions or to voice your concerns.  

OUTDOOR BURNING

Outdoor burning is subject to the Fire Warden's decision on a day to day basis.  Please contact the Town Clerk's Office, Police Department or Fire Warden to receive an Outdoor Burning Permit.
